Healthy City Gangdong

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines a 'healthy city' as: "one that is continually creating and improving their physical and social environments and expanding their community resources which enable people to mutually support each other in performing all the functions of life and developing to their maximum potential"

Gangdong-gu, the 5th chair city of the Korea Healthy Cities Partnership/KHCP, pursues health-friendly policies under the vision of "Health in All Policies", and aims to create a sustainable healthy city by preemptively conducting the "Building dynamic living environment" project.

In order to make Gangdong a healthy city that has been created and enjoyed by all of its residents, we pursue a number of projects, including creating healthy living places, building a healthy environment free of discrimination, promoting sports for all, and establishing the right atmosphere for a healthy city, etc.
